Timms Hill is located in a county park. It is well marked and easy to find. The park is open 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. The area is heavily wooded, with rolling terrain. There are several hiking trails in the immediate area if you have the time. Camping, and additional hiking opportunities, are available close by in the Chequamegon National Forest.

The hike to the highpoint is very short. At the top is a benchmark, an abandonded fire tower, and a wooden observation tower. A local couple told me the view is very beautiful, but when I was there it was rainy and foggy.
